Events

On the occasion of Disaster Risk Reduction, the Department of Facilities Services & Planning (FSP) conducted a two-day workshop to sensitize the students in mitigating measures in possible hazards in a disaster and to bring awareness among students and faculty members in risk identification of different disasters. The workshop was intensive and involved a lot of student participation, the workshop was opened to the students of the School of Planning and Architecture. The schedule of events was as follows:

Day 1

1. Opening Session – Talk on DDR by Mr. Ivan Abhishek & Ar. Divya Vora
2. App based interactive Quiz
3. Group Discussion & Brainstorming session followed by a presentation made by students specific to the given topic reflecting the risk identification and suggestive measures.

Day 2

1. Opening Session – Fire Safety in a Building by Mr. Vinay Kumar
2. App based interactive Quiz
3. Groups of students were given one floor in the SPA Building to propose a fire exit plan and conduct a fire safety mock drill to understand the possible start of a fire and its safety precaution.
