Seminar on VasthuShastra in High-Rise Building

Ar.Smt Sashikala Ananth Smt. Shasikala Ananth has been researching the classical Indian science of architecture -Vaastu Shastra for over 30 years. She has her bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Madras School. She has received the Ashoka Foundation Scholarship for her innovative contribution to the field of architecture. Shashikala mam has worked on various strategies to incorporate the wisdom of Vaastu in creative and harmonious ways with the modern lifestyle. She has done training under Roger Anger in Auroville and participated in the design of Matrimandir. She has also been a long-term student of Yoga and Vedanta.
Shashikala has written several scholarly articles for ‘The Times of India’ and ‘The Economic Times’ on Vaastu Shastra. She has also authored a book on the principles of Vaastu published in the name of “The Indian Tradition of Design based on the Principles of Vaastu Shastras”. She has translated the Tamil version of “Indian Sculpture and Iconography - forms and Measurements” written by Shri V.Ganapati Sthapati Sir, Shashikala Mam has conducted several workshops since 1997 in various parts of the world such as Goa, Pondicherry, London, New York, Prague, Zurich, Orlando, Florida, Sweden, and Australia. She was into academics for several years teaching Traditional Indian Architecture. She has designed and executed several building typologies including Offices, Schools, temples, ashrams, mutts, and Interiors of Iskon Temple at Injambakkam, Chennai, and Residential projects in India and around the World.
