Nationwide Campaign “Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta Ek Saath-2023” Shramdhan by the JNAFAU staff and students.

Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University conducted a cleanliness drive as part of a nationwide campaign ‘Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta Ek Saath (One Date, One Hour Together) Shramdhan’, a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, on the eve of his birth anniversary.
As part of an appeal by the Government of India to all citizens to collectively donate one hour of voluntary labour for cleanliness at 10 am on 1st October 2023 was attended by B.Sandya garu - Joint Commissioner from Sanitation Dept - GHMC, Dr. Vijay garu – Assistant Medical Officer from GHMC, Dr. Kamal Kumar Garu-President of Resident Welfare Associations, Nampally, Hyderabad, NSS- Co-ordinator -Ar.Manu Swamynathan, NSS Program Officers-Ar.Radhika. R, Satyanarayan Ambati along with the NSS -Student Volunteer’s of our University along with a large number of residents of Shanthi Nagar Colony with a great enthusiasm.
It has been told by the GHMC authorities that - when you stay clean and keep the environment clean, you are less likely to fall ill. You can enjoy good health and lead an active lifestyle. Also, we can maintain cleanliness by not littering and letting others litter. We should not throw garbage here and there. It is not a single person’s responsibility to maintain cleanliness. Also, it is not only the work of government and municipal corporations to maintain cleanliness. We all can contribute to the individual-level by using eco-friendly measures.
Similar to the basic necessities of life like food, water, shelter, cleanliness also holds great value in life. It is, in fact, one of the most important requirements for a healthy living. By maintaining cleanliness, we can show gratitude towards our Mother Earth in a true way. And the program ended with a special vote of thanks by our NSS-Team.
Event Details.The event is hosted by NSS unit of Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, MasabTank. The event is primarily supported by Prof. Dr Kavita Daryani Rao, Vice- Chancellor, Prof.Kodali Sundar Kumar, Registrar JNAFAU, Prof. Ch Srinivas, Principal SPA, JNAFAU, Prof. T.Gangadhar , Principal CFA, JNAFAU. Also with the correspondent support and involvement of Ar. Manu Swamynathan, NSS coordinator, JNAFAU, Ar. Radhika (NSS – Officer-SPA JNAFAU),A. Satyanaryana (NSS- Officer, CFA,JNAFAU).
