All the students and faculty members of Department of Facilities and Services Planning (FSP) celebrated National Engineer’s Day to appreciate the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on September 15.

On this day we conducted Seminar on topic “Basics of Green Building in the Building Industry” by eminent speaker Mr. Harihara Iyer. He delivered technical talk on green buildings and, how green building can impact the environment to save energy and water for the coming Building Service Engineer.

Mr. Harihara Iyer is an author of the book “Green Building Fundamentals”, the book focuses on green building as a principal solution to minimize the after-effects of construction to occupancy.

The students were benefited with the knowledgeable & Implementable suggestions provided on the use of indigenous materials and measures for water and energy saving. He also distributed books on green buildings which was useful for the students.
