Department of painting encourage field trips and onsite for the students of BFA Painting. As part of the out of the box teaching and learning, the Department of Painting engaged art history teacher, Anand Gadapa and Vamsikrishna from Sculpture along with two staff members to escort the students for the Academic field trip to study South Indian Temple architecture and Iconography at Lepakshi, Hampi, Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal. The Academic trip was planned for BFA Painting and Sculpture 7th semester who gained practical knowledge and philosophical connotations of sculpture and painting at these identified temples. The students were encouraged to present papers on the subject after the trip under the guidance of Anand Gadapa.
