Kakatiya Vaibhava Saptaham – 2022

On the occasion of Kakatiya Vaibhava Saptaham,2022, initiated by Govt of Telangana, an exhibition on Kakatiya Cultural Landscapes, has been organised by Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad on 20th July 2022, at Nehru Art Gallery JNAFAU Campus. The exhibition display consisting of photographs and documentation of Ramappa Temple was inaugurated by JNAFAU Vice Chancellor, Dr.N.Kavita Daryani Rao. Registrar, JNAFAU, Directors, Principals, HOD's, Co-Ordinators, and students of all departments participated in the event. The documentation of Ramappa Temple for world heritage status recognition by UNESCO has been displayed and explained by Ar.Surya Narayana Murthy, Chief Architect of Kshetra - Space for Architecture, Hyderabad. The architect has shared his knowledge and explained the common materials used, structural aspects, the evolution of Kakatiya arch and civilization, manifestation and built form of the character of the temple and design principles of the documented work. Comprehensive video documentation by Ar.Surya Narayana Murthy on Ramappa Temple displayed in the art gallery was an informative resource about the world heritage structure. Apart from this, the photographic contribution on various structures pertaining to Kakatiya Heritage captured by Historian Arvind Aryan P. was also displayed for the benefit of students to have an understanding of Kakatiya Glory. Ar. Padmashri and other faculty members coordinated the event.
