The Seminar on Rainwater Harvesting was conducted by the University to spread awareness through expert speakers:-

1. Dr. M.V.S.S. Giridhar is presently working as Professor and Head Centre for Water Resources, Institute of Science and Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.
2. Kalpana Ramesh, fondly called ‘Water Warrior’ is an environmentalist advocating water conservation and restoration.

The speakers shared their knowledge/experience and conducted extensive Q&A sessions on the challenges - social, technical, and financial when implementing rainwater harvesting in Hyderabad and the surrounding areas.
The theoretical session was followed by a workshop, students assembled a modular RWH component and installed it near the upcoming canteen building. Pipe connections from the terrace to the bore well shall be completed post-completion of the building by the existing construction crew.
