PROF. M. VINOD GANESH,
Director of Academic and Planning & Professor in Architecture
Prof. M.Vinod Ganesh studied architecture at JNTU, Hyderabad and Urban Design at CEPT, Ahmedabad. He has over 28 years of teaching experience in JNAFA University and has taught both at Undergraduate and Post graduate levels. He conducted extensive research on Traditional, Vernacular Architecture and Urban Morphologies. Presently he is handling the responsibilities as Director of Academic and Planning and Co-ordinator of IQAC in the University.
Soon after his Master’s Prof. M. Vinod Ganesh was associated with Ar. B.V.Doshi at Ahmedabad to work on Khargar node Urban Design project for New Bombay and also involved with Indore city Urban Renewal project. After returning to Hyderabad Prof. Vinod Ganesh was associated with Ar. Anwar Aziz on prestigious Satyam Computers Software centre at Hyderabd and NFCL campus buildings in Kakinada. He was also associated with Eco-City project for Tirupathi town and Master Plan of Venkatarayapuram Township near Tanuku and a prestigious two bedroom housing project of the state government in Kollur village near Hyderabad.
He was a member of Executive Council of JNAFA University, Hyderabad. He is also a member of academic boards in Architecture, Urban design and Conservation of the University. He was Head of the Department of Architecture, School of Planning and Architecture Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad–28 from 2009 to 2014.
He conducted various common Entrance Examinations including the prestigious EAMCET for Engineering and Architecture in the state since 2001 regularly till 2013 in various capacities as Examiner, Observer, Chief Superintendent and as Regional Coordinator. He also conducted the Entrance Examination PACET (Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test) for courses in Architecture and Planning in the State between 2004 and 2008.
He also conducted many International and National seminars and workshops on Art, Architecture and Conservation of Architectural Heritage. He visited and conducted an Urban design studio at Ecole Nationale Superieured’ Architecture et de Paysage (ENSAP), Bordeaux, France as part of an Academic Exchange Programme.
