Graduated in Architecture in the year 1982 and attained masters in Urban and Regional Planning in the year 1984. After gaining a rich experience in the field of Architecture she peruses Ph.D. in Urban Studies from England.
From 1985 onwards Dr. Padmavathi has been working in different Academic and Administrative capacities.
Dr. Padmavathi is recipient of several National and International awards out of which Award of Common Wealth Academic Staff Scholarship is one. She has presented quite a number of papers in journals and conferences.
Dr. Padmavathi has developed the School of Planning and Architecture into one of the best in the country for learning in Planning and Architecture, during her tenure as the Director.
Her research work on ‘Weaker Section Housing’ and ‘Urban Environments’ are praise worthy as the research contents are very much useful to the Nation as a whole.
Dr. P. Padmavathi is the First Vice–Chancellor of this University. With her sound Academic background and dynamic Administrative capabilities the newly formed Architecture and Fine Arts University, will have a very bright future in years to come. |
