The School of Planning & Architecture (SPA) has a well-managed Library and Information Centre (LIC). LIC is a Knowledge hub containing rich and comprehensive high quality information resources on architectural design, building construction, structural engineering, landscape architecture, interior design and decoration, decorative arts, urban planning & design and regional planning, construction management, Economics, Law, Environment, Rural Development and other allied areas. LIC with its modern state-of-the-art facilities serves as a creative and innovative partner in supporting the teaching, learning, scholarship and research activities contributing significantly to the Institute’s mission of academic excellence.
LIC collection include books, reference books, theses, back volumes of periodicals, CD-ROMs, floppies, VCDs, DVDs, Video Cassettes etc. The collection is growing rapidly as new books are added regularly every year. The pleasant ambience and well-furnished spacious LIC creates conducive learning environment inspiring students to excel in their education and research.
The Library and Information Centre operations and services are fully computerized using VTLS Virtua software. The Catalogue of the holdings is available for online access to the SPA community on the network.
Now, SPA plans to extend its Library resources access to the outsiders.
