JNAFA University is established with a noble thought of giving a free hand to the fields of Art & Architecture to explore the possibilities of growth and to excel in the research and application to the ever changing world of Science & Technology.
Right from the formation of the University the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University is constantly making efforts to expand the quality education in the field of Fine Arts and Architecture. P.G. Courses in Architecture and Fine Arts have been started, a proposal for starting Ph.D. programmes in Fine Arts also is progress. Though, several Private educational institutions approached JNAFAU for recognition of Animation courses & Fashion Technology, the University was very cautious and careful in granting the recognitions to have standardized Education. Some more Affiliated Colleges in Architecture are expected in this year.
The University could establish its offices in a record time and started functioning immediately after the formation. Efforts are being made to have Physical facilities and infrastructure in the Constituent Colleges for the newly started courses. Drastic changes are taking place in the subjects pertaining to Fine Arts and Architecture in response to the Technological advancement and the University is keenly watching the changing trends and anxious to adopt the emerging Technologies & Trends.
The Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the University and Constituent Colleges are exhibiting a great consistency in this process.
Consent efforts are being made with the Government to have good campus of 100 acres in the outskirts of the city.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is also exercising its co-operation in sanctioning grants to the University and also new posts in Teaching and Non-Teaching are expected in due course of time.
N.S.S. Unit is also functioning very well. Several ICS works both in Architecture and Fine Arts are undertaken successfully.
